Comb honey, also known in German as Scheibenhonig, is honey that the bees have stored in freshly built, brood-free comb and that is sold, along with the comb, in whole or divided pieces.

The Honey Regulation (Germany) also permits comb built on thin sheets made exclusively of beeswax for this purpose.
Closely related is chunk honey, in which one or more pieces of comb honey sit within liquid honey.
The requirements of the German Beekeepers' Association go further than the regulation. There, only fully capped honey in unbrooded virgin comb without artificial foundation may be offered as comb honey. Only fully capped, non-crystallized heather honey, likewise in virgin comb, counts as Scheibenhonig.
In practice, comb honey is a niche product with a high level of effort. It requires clean new comb without wire or foundation, a colony in building mode, and a nectar flow that gets capped quickly. In return, it is a product that cannot be extracted, filtered or warmed, which is exactly why it is in demand, especially among direct marketers.
