Setting up sites
A permanent apiary is entered once by address. For a place without one – a woodland edge, the middle of a rape field – you capture it on site with your phone. The number of locations is not limited, not even on the smaller plans.
The migration record
If you move your colonies, the changes of site build into a record: which colony stood at which place, and when.
You need that in several situations. In most countries the location of your colonies has to be registered with the authorities, and migratory beekeeping brings further obligations depending on where you are. If foulbrood breaks out somewhere, the first question is which colonies stood inside the restricted zone. Without a record that is a memory exercise.
Where the honey comes from
Since June 2026 EU labelling rules require the countries of origin to be stated on the jar – for blends, all countries involved in descending order. Anyone who migrates and extracts several flows separately needs harvests and sites tied together for that. The details are in our article on the new origin labelling.
Which site actually carries?
The quiet gain arrives after two or three years. Once harvests are recorded per colony and site, you can see in black and white which place delivers and which one is merely easy to reach.
The same link helps with losses. If they cluster at one site, chance is rarely the reason – damp, draught, spraying in the surroundings, or simply too many colonies on too little forage.

As many as you like, including on the free tier. Every colony can be assigned to a location and moved to another one when you migrate.
Can I see which colonies are at which location?
Yes. Each location lists its colonies, and the colony overview can be filtered by location.
Can I document moves between locations?
Yes. Moves are recorded with a date, so it stays traceable when a colony stood where.
