English Lavender flowers in July and August and provides very good nectar with a medium pollen value. It needs full sun and dry, well-drained soils and holds up through extended heat without a drop in yield. In the growing regions of southern Europe it produces a light, highly aromatic varietal honey; here it is a reliable garden flow in midsummer. Pruning after flowering is important, otherwise the sub-shrub becomes woody and flowers more weakly the following year.
