Lemon Balm flowers from June to August. Its nectar value is rated moderate, its pollen value low, so it is not a yield plant. As a garden plant it usually stands only on a small area anyway and makes no special demands on the soil. For the summer gap it is a nice addition in the herb bed, but for honey yield it does not count.
