Hedge Woundwort flowers from July to September on shady forest margins, in hedges and along stream banks. The nectar value is good, the pollen value low to medium. It needs fresh to damp, nutrient-rich, humus-rich soils and grows reliably even in shade. For woodland-adjacent apiaries it is one of the few productive flows in midsummer shade.
