Marsh Marigold flowers from April to June along ditches, stream banks and in damp meadows. The nectar value is good, the pollen value moderate to medium. It needs seepage-moist or groundwater-fed, nutrient- and base-rich marsh humus or loam soils and cannot tolerate drought. In wetland areas it is one of the most conspicuous and productive flows in spring.
