The Sweet Cherry flowers in April and is one of the most important early fruit blooms. It provides plentiful nectar and pollen and is heavily worked by colonies. For fruit set, bee pollination is decisive, which is why fruit growers deliberately place colonies for it. Its bloom often coincides with the start of swarming season.
