The Norway Maple flowers in April and May, often even before the leaves appear, in strikingly yellow-green clusters. It provides plentiful nectar, while its pollen supply is rated only moderate to medium. In towns, avenues and woodland it is widespread and ranks among the productive spring trees. Together with willow and dandelion it carries spring development.
