Asparagus flowers in June and July, once the harvest is over and the ferny foliage is allowed to grow tall. The nectar value is very good, the pollen value good, and the small greenish bells are conspicuously heavily worked. In asparagus-growing regions this produces a notable flow exactly between rapeseed and lime. Anyone with colonies in asparagus regions should keep this bloom in their forage calendar.
