The Silver Maple flowers very early, often already in March, before the leaves appear, and provides good nectar with a medium pollen value. This makes it one of the first tree flows of the year, matching the start of brood activity. It originates from North America and stands with us only as planted specimens in parks and avenues. As with other maple species, honeydew can occur on it as well.
