White Mustard flowers from June into October and is grown over large areas as a catch crop and green manure. It provides plentiful nectar and pollen in the late-summer gap and helps with the build-up of winter bees. Because it develops quickly under autumn conditions, it is still available as a forage source late in the year. In the field it can easily be mistaken for rapeseed.
