Trifolium hybridum

May–August
Nektar

Pollen
sehr gut

Alsike Clover, also called bastard clover, flowers from May into late summer and is rated very good for both nectar and pollen. Its corollas, at seven to ten millimetres, are shorter than those of red clover, whose flower tube measures nine to ten millimetres and is too deep for the honeybee's tongue of just about six millimetres. Alsike clover is self-sterile and pollinated mainly by honeybees. It grows on fresh to damp, nutrient-rich soils and occurs frequently in clover-grass mixtures.
