Flowering period
June–August
Nectar

Rosebay Willowherb (Fireweed) flowers from June to August on clear-cut areas, windthrow sites and along forest tracks. The nectar value is good, the pollen value moderate, and the bluish-grey pollen is easy to recognise on the pollen loads. It forms large stands via runners and colonises disturbed forest areas very quickly. In forest sites with fresh clear-cut areas it can produce astonishing yields in midsummer.
