Biting Stonecrop flowers from June to August, covering poor areas with brilliant yellow cushions. The nectar value is good, the pollen value medium. It grows on warm, dry, humus-poor sandy and stony soils, on walls, gravel roofs and in rock gardens. Like the other stonecrops it produces exactly when drought chokes off meadow forage.
