Fly Honeysuckle

Lonicera xylosteum

Blütezeit
April–June
Nektar
sehr gut
Pollen
gering

Fly Honeysuckle flowers from April to June and reaches a very good nectar value with only a low pollen value. It stands on summer-warm, fresh, preferably calcareous clay and loam soils on forest margins, in hedges and green spaces. Because it also flowers well in partial shade, it reliably produces on forest edges. For the colony it is a welcome nectar source in the transition period from fruit bloom to early summer.
