Giant Goldenrod flowers from July to September and forms huge stands on fallow ground, along railway embankments and in floodplains. The nectar value is good, the pollen value medium, and foraging in late summer is correspondingly strong. The honey is a strong yellow and pungent but is rarely harvested as a single-variety honey because it usually coincides with other late flows. Important: it counts among the invasive alien species, and deliberately establishing it as bee forage is prohibited and harms native flora.
