Foxglove Tree (Paulownia)

Paulownia

Flowering period
April–June

The Foxglove Tree (Paulownia) flowers from late April into June with large violet bells. For bees, however, the yield is modest: its nectar supply is rated moderate, its pollen supply low. In Central Europe it stands only scattered as an ornamental tree in parks and gardens anyway, so no major flow results from it. As an eye-catcher in the garden it is more appealing than as a forage plant.
