The Oxeye Daisy flowers from May to September and is widespread across extensively managed meadows. Both nectar and pollen value lie in the medium range. It needs poor to moderately nutrient-rich soils and disappears under heavy fertilisation. For beekeeping it is a good indicator: where oxeye daisies stand, the meadow is usually otherwise species-rich and productive as well.
