Lupin

Lupinus spec.

Blütezeit
June–July
Nektar
gering
Pollen
mäßig

The Lupin flowers in June and July. It releases nectar only in small amounts, and its pollen supply is rated moderate. Its pea-family flower must be pushed open by the weight of the visitor, which is why it is preferentially worked by bumblebees. It occurs frequently as green manure and in flower mixes. Its value lies in protein supply, not honey yield.
