Privet
Ligustrum vulgare
- Blütezeit
- June–July
- Nektar

- Pollen
- gering
Privet flowers in June and July in strongly scented white panicles. Its nectar value is medium, the pollen value rated only low to moderate. As a common hedge plant it stands in large quantities, yet the usual hedge trimming removes exactly the flower-bearing shoots, so the flow is often missed. Anyone who wants to do the bees a favour prunes only after flowering.
