The Judas Tree flowers in April and May before the leaves appear and bears its pink flowers directly on the trunk and branches. It comes from the eastern Mediterranean and is planted here in parks and warm urban locations. The flowers are well worked and provide nectar and pollen at a time when every forage source counts.
