The Blueberry (Bilberry) flowers in April and May and provides good nectar but only little pollen. Its bell-shaped flowers are pollinated by bees and especially by bumblebees. It needs acidic, nutrient-poor soils and often stands in woodland, heath and moorland areas across large areas. Where that is the case, it produces a noteworthy flow.
