The Pomegranate flowers from May to July with bright orange-red, cup-shaped flowers. It grows in the Mediterranean and the Orient and is kept here in tubs. It provides little nectar but plenty of pollen, and the striking flowers are worked by bees and bumblebees alike. A minor flow in early summer.
