The Tree of Heaven flowers in June and July with large, yellowish green panicles that have a strong smell. It comes from China, has spread widely in warm cities and on railway land and is regarded in many places as a problem tree. For the colony it is nevertheless a productive summer flow; the honey has a strong taste and is not to everyone's liking.
