Germander Speedwell flowers from April to July and provides a moderate amount of nectar with a moderate pollen value. It is a low perennial of meadows, roadsides and hedges and spreads by creeping shoots. Its sky-blue flowers hardly count individually but often grow together in large numbers. In spring it is a small but widespread minor flow in every meadow. British measurements give around 9 micrograms of sugar per flower per day, around 3,299 pollen grains per flower and a nectar yield of around 5 kilograms of sugar per hectare per year.
