Spring Snowflake flowers from early March into the second half of April and is among the first flowers of the year. Nectar and pollen are rated only moderate, but it is visited on mild days nonetheless; its pollen is yellow-orange. Its contribution to colony development is small, but the timing makes it valuable. On damp meadows, in floodplain forests and gardens it often stands in dense stands.
