Wood Avens (Herb Bennet) flowers from May to September with small yellow flowers on hedges, forest margins and in gardens. The nectar value is medium, the pollen value good. It grows on fresh, nutrient-rich, humus-rich clay and loam soils, also in partial shade. Its value lies in the very long flowering period, which keeps supplying pollen throughout the whole summer.
