Common Oregano (Wild Marjoram), also known as dost, flowers from July to October and is one of the most important late-summer flows on dry grassland. The nectar value is good, the pollen value medium. It grows on summer-warm, moderately dry, base-rich loam and loess soils along forest margins, embankments and dry slopes. Because it flowers on into October, it helps with building up the winter bees.
