The Broad-leaved Everlasting Pea flowers in June and July in strong pink racemes, climbing along fences, embankments and woodland edges as it does. The nectar value is good, the pollen value medium. It copes with semi-sunny, rather dry sites and is perennial, so it does not need to be resown every year. As a lasting climbing perennial at the apiary it reliably provides early-summer forage.
