The Pear flowers in April and May, in the fruit bloom between cherry and apple, and provides mainly pollen. Its nectar value is rated only in the medium range, which is why it is worked less heavily than apple or cherry. For the pear's fruit set, bee visits are nevertheless decisive. On traditional orchard meadows it extends the fruit bloom by a few but welcome days.
