The Calamint flowers from July into October and is conspicuously heavily worked by bees and other insects throughout that whole time. The nectar value is medium, the pollen value low. It needs moderately dry, base-rich, mostly calcareous soils and is notably heat-tolerant. Its strength is the very long flowering period, which bridges late summer and early autumn.
