The Sycamore Maple flowers in April and May and ranks among the most productive spring flows among trees. Its nectar supply is consistently rated very rich, its pollen supply on the other hand only moderate to medium. In some years honeydew also occurs on it, and it is considered an important source of a varietal honey made from nectar and honeydew. Where sycamore maple stands in forest edges and avenues, a site within reach is worthwhile.
