Apricot

Prunus armeniaca

Blütezeit
March–April
Nektar

Pollen
sehr gut

The Apricot flowers very early, in March and April, making it one of the first tree flows of the year. It is considered a very good nectar and pollen source for the honeybee, at a point when colonies can make good use of any supply. Its risk is late frost: as one of the earliest-flowering fruit crops, it has repeatedly suffered complete crop failures in recent years. In sheltered, warm locations it is a valuable early starter.
