Creeping thistle provides abundant nectar and abundant pollen from June to August. It spreads by root suckers and quickly forms large stands on fallow land and field margins, which makes it unwelcome in agriculture. For the beekeeper it is one of the most reliable summer nectar flows on cleared land.
