Rough hawk's-beard flowers from May to July in rich meadows and along roadsides and turns entire areas yellow when the dandelion has already finished. Its flower heads open in the morning and close again at midday. It provides plenty of pollen and decent nectar and is a regular component of the meadow forage in May and June.
