Shrubby cinquefoil flowers from June to September and provides moderate nectar with moderate pollen value. It is a low, very robust shrub and is widely planted in beds and along roads. Its yellow cup-shaped flowers appear without a break throughout the summer. Precisely because of this long flowering period it is a reliable supplementary forage in built-up areas. British measurements give around 222 micrograms of sugar per flower per day.
