Bog rosemary flowers in May and June with pink, urn-shaped flowers above narrow leaves, white underneath, that are reminiscent of rosemary. It grows in raised bogs on sphagnum cushions and is protected. As with many heath plants, its nectar is poisonous to humans, but its flowers are visited by bees.
