The bog bilberry flowers in May and June with white, urn-shaped flowers in raised bogs, damp heaths and dwarf shrub stands in the mountains. It grows taller than the bilberry and has blue-green, net-veined leaves. In bog locations it is, together with bilberry and cranberry, an important forage in late spring.
