Sea Kale flowers in May and June with dense white clouds of flowers above blue-green, fleshy leaves. It grows on shingle and sandy beaches of the North Sea and the Baltic and is also grown in vegetable gardens. The many small flowers have a honey-like scent and are heavily worked. On the coast it is a good early summer flow.
