Hoary Stock flowers from May to July with strongly scented racemes in white, pink or violet. It comes from the Mediterranean coasts and is an old cottage garden plant. Single varieties provide nectar and pollen, while double varieties are worthless for bees. When buying, it is therefore worth looking at the flower form.
