Common Restharrow flowers from June to September with pink pea flowers on poor grassland, dunes and roadsides. Unlike spiny restharrow, it lies flat over the ground and is hardly armed. It roots deeply and keeps flowering even in dry summers, when the meadows have long since turned brown.
