The Autumn Olive flowers in May and June with small, cream-coloured tubular flowers that have an intensely sweet scent. It comes from East Asia and is used in windbreak hedges and wild fruit plantings. Despite the inconspicuous flowers it provides nectar abundantly and is literally swarmed by bees when in flower.
