Leopard's Bane flowers in April and May with yellow, daisy-like flower heads and then dies back. It comes from south-eastern Europe and the Caucasus and is one of the few yellow perennials of the daisy family in the spring border. At a time when little is yet flowering, it provides nectar and pollen and is reliably visited.
