The Japanese Spirea flowers from June to August with flat, pink flower umbrellas and often flowers a second time after cutting back. It is found in many public plantings and front gardens because it is undemanding. The small flowers are openly accessible and are used by honeybees and wild bees alike. British measurements give around 8 micrograms of sugar per flower per day.
