The Japanese Cherry flowers in April and May and is the tree of the Japanese cherry blossom festivals. Our streets are mostly lined with double varieties, and these are worthless for bees because the stamens have been transformed into petals. Single forms, on the other hand, provide nectar and pollen and are well worked.
