Hoary Alyssum flowers from June to October with small white flowers whose petals are deeply cleft. It grows on sandy soils, railway ballast and fallows and is covered throughout with grey felty hairs. It flowers persistently into autumn and is a surprisingly productive forage plant on poor, hot land.
