The Small Cranberry flowers in May and June with small pink flowers whose petals are sharply turned back. It creeps with thread-thin shoots over cushions of peat moss in raised bogs. It has become rare and is protected. In bog areas it forms part of the early summer forage together with bog bilberry and bilberry.
