The Yellow Anemone flowers from March to May in floodplain forests and damp deciduous woodland, often together with the white wood anemone. Its golden yellow flowers open only in sunshine. It provides hardly any nectar, but it does provide pollen, which the bees urgently need in early spring for the brood that is starting up.
