Wolf's Bane flowers from June to August with pale yellow helmet-shaped flowers in mountain forests, along streams and in tall herb communities. Like all monkshoods it is highly poisonous. The nectar sits deep in the helmet and is collected by long-tongued bumblebees; honeybees use the flowers only to a limited extent.
