Cowslip
Primula veris
- Blütezeit
- February–June
- Nektar
- mäßig
- Pollen
- gering
The Cowslip flowers from March to May and provides a moderate amount of nectar with a low pollen value. It is a perennial of poor meadows and open margins on calcareous soil and is now protected in many places. The nectar sits deep in the corolla tube, and honeybees can reach it only to a limited extent. As an early-flowering meadow plant it nevertheless remains a good indicator of an intact site.
